A studio host for the New York Yankees (MLB) and the Brooklyn Nets (NBA) pre-and post-game shows, Nancy Newman also hosts the ‘Yankees Batting Practice Today’ show, which kicks off Yankees game day coverage with team news, batting practice, and player interviews. Nancy Newman has been a lead broadcaster for the YES Network since 2003 and has earned six Emmy Awards with the network.

Prior to joining the YES Network, Ms. Newman spent a decade in various sports broadcasting positions with the CNN family of Networks, including hosting CNN Sports Tonight, CNN Sports Sunday and CNN/SI. In addition to reporting on weekly MLB and NFL preview programs, she hosted coverage of Turner Sports’ Atlanta Thrashers NHL team’s inaugural season in 2000. She has also worked for NBC, where she covered events from the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece.

Alongside her regular broadcasting duties with the YES Network, Ms. Newman has hosted various high-profile events. In 2019, she emceed the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies in Troy, New York, and the National Down Syndrome Society’s annual gala.
